Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Jewelry design or Product development or equivalent
  • 0-2+ years experience in jewelry design, technical design, or product development for a high growth company
  • Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Excel
  • Basic understanding of costume and fine jewelry construction—stone settings as well as working mechanisms including clasps and hinges
  • Proven ability to execute with consistent high quality on-time delivery
  • Strong problem solving skills with an eye for technical detail
  • Strong listening and communication skills and willingness to learn
  • Ability to communicate 3D concepts clearly through 2D visuals and documentation
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Team player and collaborative contributor to team progress
  • Exposure to cross-functional teams and processes
  • Growth path into independent ownership and technical expertise

Responsibilities

  • Create and update 2D design mockups aligned with design direction and brand standards
  • Update, recolor, and refine existing styles as directed
  • Assist in building and maintaining Visual Assortment Documents
  • Translate design direction into visuals with guidance from senior team members
  • Apply materials and color direction to designs to support assortment needs
  • Create and update technical specification documents
  • Document construction, materials, and functionality for cross-functional partners and manufacturers
  • Review designs for production viability, wearability, and functionality
  • Support Product Development in troubleshooting construction challenges
  • Ensure consistency and quality control across all technical documentation
  • Follow workflows for 2D design, spec creation, and documentation
  • Maintain organized files and documentation per team standards
  • Identify and communicate errors or inconsistencies for correction
  • Provide feedback on tools and processes for ongoing improvements
  • Track progress across multiple projects and communicate status clearly
  • Contribute to spec review meetings for alignment across teams
  • Support seasonal kickoff and concepting with leadership
  • Participate in meetings to understand project requirements and timelines
  • Incorporate feedback from Design and Product Development into revisions
  • Maintain effective communication with supervisor and design team toward timely delivery
  • Adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate organization and attention to detail in multi-project delivery
  • Hands-on experience supporting product from concept through production
  • Exposure to cross-functional teams and processes
