Job summary

Teltrium, Inc. seeks a Junior Systems Engineer to support planning, coordination, and execution of space communications and network-related engineering activities.

The role provides analytical and program-support functions for pre-formulation and portfolio tracking. The successful candidate will work with technical specialists, systems engineers, and program managers to develop broader systems-engineering skills across multiple projects and enterprise initiatives.

Qualifications

• Foundational understanding of systems-engineering concepts: requirements, risks, interfaces, dependencies, verification, and system life cycles.
• Ability to organize and analyze information from multiple technical and programmatic sources.

• Ability to work collaboratively with engineers, project managers, analysts, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical assessments, planning activities, trade studies, research, and data collection.
• Maintain risk registers, document mitigation plans, coordinate updates with risk owners, elevate emerging concerns.
• Review and manage project and portfolio dashboards covering milestones, schedules, risks, and actions.
• Collect, validate, analyze, and summarize project information to identify trends, gaps, inconsistencies, and leadership items.
• Prepare technical presentations, status briefings, decision packages, roadmaps, diagrams, and leadership summaries.
• Support technical portfolio management by tracking objectives, maturity, schedules, investments, risks, and transitions.
• Assist with capability assessments, gap analyses, technology roadmaps, and comparisons of alternatives.
• Document meeting decisions, issues, and actions, and ensure timely closure.
• Organize and maintain technical records, planning materials, and engineering documentation.
• Improve reporting methods, portfolio processes, templates, and metrics for leadership decision-making.

Qualifications

Education

:Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, ora relatedtechnical field.

Experience

:At least 2 years of relevant engineering, technical analysis, project support, or systems-engineering experience. Graduate work may count toward years of experience.

Role / Work Schedule

This is a full-time, on-site position at our Lakewood, CO office.
