We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to provide cross-project systems engineering leadership for complex space communications, navigation, and operational network initiatives. This role will focus on connectivity across systems and missions, development of concepts of operations, management of technical interfaces and risks, and the transition of new capabilities from development into operational networks.
The successful candidate will combine strong systems-engineering fundamentals with an understanding of communications and networked systems. This individual must be able to work across organizational and project boundaries, and communicate effectively with technical teams and program managers.
Bachelor’s orMaster’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Management, Physics, ora relatedtechnical field.
8–10+ years of progressively responsible systems-engineering experience involving complex technical systems. Experience supporting space communications and navigation systems, network services, related technology development, or strategic technical planning activities. Graduate work may contribute to years of experience.
US Citizenship is a requirement for this position.
This is a full-time, on-site position at our Lakewood, CO office with expected periodic travel. We are open to considering strong candidates in the Washington DC area who would report on-site to Greenbelt MD, with periodic time at NASA HQ in Washington, DC.
