Somerville Public Schools is seeking support for the Healey Families Initiative aimed at empowering marginalized families. This temporary position runs from March 2027 to June 2027, with a stipend of $1,500.
The role includes managing programming, leading team meetings, and conducting outreach to families. Ideal candidates will have knowledge of child development and experience with marginalized families. Bilingual individuals are preferred.
The Healey Families Initiative seeks to close the disengagement gap among the historically marginalized families by facilitating monthly parent support groups in Portuguese, Spanish, and Haitian Creole in order to support parents to feel empowered and to advocate for their children’s education.
We are seeking teachers, caregivers, and community members to help support our work with Healey families.
