Purpose Statement
The Jefferson City Public Schools is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to aid in serving the district’s 9,000 students who attend 11 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, 2 high school, 1 alternative school, 1 pre-school and a variety of alternative educational offerings and services.
Provides leadership and direction at the building level, working to design, implement, and support a comprehensive behavior support program.
Provide comprehensive behavior analysis services for students in schools.
Provide high quality services in the areas of functional behavioral assessment, positive behavior support plan development, verbal behavior assessment, consultation and staff training.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability
KNOWLEDGE is required to review and interpret highly technical information, written technical materials and/or speak persuasively to implement desired actions; and analyze situations to define issues and draw conclusions. Specific knowledge-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: concepts of effective curriculum design and implementation; student testing methodologies; statistical analysis; pertinent codes, policies, regulations and/or laws; concepts of grammar and punctuation; and business etiquette.
SKILLS are required to perform multiple, technical tasks with a need to occasionally upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skill based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: applying assessment instruments, operating standard office equipment; using pertinent software applications; and preparing and maintaining accurate records.
ABILITY is required to schedule a significant number of activities, meetings and/or events; routinely gather, collate and/or classify data; and use job-related equipment. Flexibility is required to independently work with others in a wide variety of circumstances; analyze data utilizing a variety of complex processes; and operate equipment using a variety of standardized methods. Ability is also required to work with a significant diversity of individuals and/or groups; work with data of widely varied types and/or purposes; and utilize a variety of types of job-related equipment. Independent problem solving is required to analyze issues and create action plans. Problem solving with data frequently requires independent interpretation of guidelines; and problem solving with equipment is moderate to significant.
