The Department of Philosophy offers students a general Philosophy Major, a Pre-Law Option, and a Religious Studies Option, as well as minors in Philosophy, Peace and Conflict Studies, and Middle East Studies.
The department seeks qualified candidates to teach undergraduate courses such as:
Temporary faculty members are responsible for adherence to and implementation of university and system-wide policies as directed per Academic Policy Manual 306, paragraph 2.
Appointments are contingent upon budget and enrollment considerations and subject to the “Order of Work” provisions in the collective bargaining agreement.
Commensurate with qualifications and experience within the CSU Salary Schedule (Class Code 2358). Salary ranges are $5,507–$6,677 per month for a full-time course load (15 WTUs). Actual monthly salary will be adjusted based on assigned WTUs during each term.
The temporary faculty pool is continuously open and may be filled on a semester-by-semester basis. Applicants must be available to start on short notice. The pool remains in place for two academic terms; reapplication is required thereafter.
