Job summary

Navitas is seeking a hands-on Python Developer to design, develop, and maintain secure backend applications and APIs for DoD projects. You will build scalable Python services, integrate with databases and enterprise systems, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver cloud-native applications.

The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex problems, writing clean code, and contributing across the software lifecycle, including CI/CD and DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Python development experience.
• Strong experience building Python applications and REST APIs using Flask or FastAPI.
• Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Strong understanding of API design, backend architecture, and software engineering best practices.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native application development.
• Experience with AWS and modern cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Python backend services and REST APIs using frameworks such as Flask or FastAPI.
• Develop scalable, secure, and high-performance applications that integrate with databases, enterprise systems, and external services.
