Job summary

Navitas Business Consulting seeks an AI Engineer 2 to lead enterprise AI architecture design and governance for our federal and commercial clients in the DC Metro area.

You will design multi-agent orchestration, vector databases, and AI pipelines, mentoring junior engineers while advancing platform modernization and AI validation efforts. Top Secret with SCI eligibility required.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field, Master preferred
• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, AI/ML engineering, or solution architecture.
• Experience designing and deploying enterprise AI solutions.
• Experience with cloud-native AI services and MLOps platforms.
• Demonstrated experience with LLMs, agent frameworks, and vector databases.
• Must be DOW 8140 certified
• Ability to obtain and maintain required Top Secret government security clearance.

What You'll Do

The AI Engineer 2 serves as a senior technical contributor responsible for leading AI/ML architecture design, governance, and implementation efforts supporting enterprise-scale AI capabilities. This role provides advanced expertise in agentic systems, model governance, and AI platform modernization initiatives.

Salary Range: $120k - $135k

The salary range listed reflects our standard market pay structure. Final compensation will be determined based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's unique qualifications, skills required for the position, professional experience, education, and business needs, at the time of hire.
