Job summary

CMHA-CEI is seeking a Crew Leader to train and coach a janitorial team at CMHA-CEI facilities in Lansing, MI. Under supervision, you will ensure tasks are performed to CMHA-CEI standards and drive adherence to policies and procedures.

You must have at least 1 year of Crew Leader experience, reliable transportation, and strong verbal and written communication skills. The role requires physical work and the ability to operate janitorial equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience as a Crew Leader or experience training/monitoring individuals.
• Must have reliable transportation for job-related use.
• Must communicate effectively in verbal and written form.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of a Property and Facilities Coordinator or Supervisor, provides training and coaching to a team of workers performing Janitorial and cleaning functions at CMHA-CEI owned/affiliated facilities. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures.

Requirements

A minimum of one-year experience as a Crew Leader or training/monitoring individuals required. Access to reliable means of transportation for job related use required. Must be able to accurately and effectively communicate in verbal and written form. Must be able to work independently. Other requirements needed for this classification will depend upon the area of assignment and program. Must be physically able to perform repetitive lifting up to 50 pounds. Must be physically able to operate a variety of Janitorial equipment, and physically able to do a lot of bending, stooping, reaching, and walking, etc.

Conditional Employment Requirements

Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a Michigan State Police Clearance check. Must have a valid Michigan driver’s license. Must be able to pass pre-employment 5-panel drug screen. Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical.

Salary/Hours

$17.62-$19.73 per hour. 40 Hours per week.

Shift Incentive

+ $1.25/hour for hours worked 5pm – 12am | + $2/hour for hours worked 12am – 8am | + $3/hour for weekends worked Friday 5pm – Monday 8am.
