NHS Dumfries and Galloway is seeking an Estates Officer to join the Estates and Property Services department. The post involves delivering planned and reactive maintenance within a multidisciplinary team.
You will require a building services qualification and demonstrable facilities maintenance management experience, with CAFM experience being advantageous. The role covers national and local responsibilities working with a range of systems and data management.
A vacancy has arisen within the Estates and Property Services department for an Estates Officer, to be part of a successful multi disciplinary team delivering a planned and reactive maintenance service for NHS Dumfries and Galloway.
The successful applicant will have a building services qualification along with having demonstrable experience in facilities maintenance management. Experience in the use of a computer aided facilities management system would be advantageous however training will be provided.
Working in a relatively small but busy department, the successful candidate will be required to operate at both a National and Local level, to manage and undertake a wide range of strategic and operational maintenance activities. This will be carried out using specialist systems, and there will be a requirement support accurate and effective data input, interpretation, and management of this data.
The successful applicant will require good communication and people management skills and have the ability to work to deadlines in an ever-demanding environment.
With an ability to demonstrate effective leadership skills, the successful candidate will be responsible for the effective and efficient management of an inhouse maintenance team.
They will need to have the ability to work well unsupervised and be able to work effectively as part of a team, while fostering positive and co-operative relationships with all other groups and departments, internal and external to the organisation.
