Who You Are

An energetic kindergarten teacher who will prepare our scholars for entry into first grade. Responsibilities include designing lessons that advance social and educational abilities, mediating disputes, and establishing meaningful relationships with families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
• A valid New Jersey Department of Education Standard Certificate Elementary School Teacher in Grades K - 6, Certificate of Eligibility (CE), or Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS).

The Role

• Plan and evaluate a program of study tailored to students' needs.
• Evaluate student progress and prepare reports.
• Instruct in citizenship, communication skills, and other core areas as specified by state law.
• Provide instruction in various group settings, adapting to student abilities.
• Maintain standards of pupil behavior to ensure a productive environment.
• Select and requisition instructional materials and maintain inventory records.
• Develop instructional plans and organize class time effectively.
• Participate in professional development activities.
• Supervise out-of-class activities and coordinate with aides and paraprofessionals.
• Identify student needs and collaborate with staff on solutions.
• Communicate with parents regarding student progress.
• Participate in student activities and faculty committees.
• Relate subject matter to other disciplines as a resource person.
• Establish open communication with students and parents.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Salary: BA $64,570 - $92,200 / MA $65,820 - $93,450
• Term: 10.5 Months
