The Digital Arts and Design teacher will be responsible for courses related to the digital arts and design field. The program prepares students for careers as multimedia artists, animators, graphic designers, and communication specialists. The curriculum focuses on communications technologies, animation, software applications, digital and motion graphics, and more, applicable in various business and industry settings. Students will learn to use digital tools for information gathering, evaluation, and communication, preparing them for further study or entry-level employment. The teacher will also sponsor a Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) through SkillsUSA, participating in competitions at various levels.
The teacher must maintain a 'Quality Program of Study' as directed by the TDOE CCTE Department, ensure compliance with funding requirements, and complete annual SSQI documentation. Additional duties such as meetings, committees, and professional development may be assigned by the principal.
Salary range: $46,206 - $86,115 per year.
