An established industry player seeks a dedicated master’s level clinician to provide urgent crisis intervention services to youth facing behavioral health challenges. Responsibilities: Under the supervision of Children’s Emergency Services Coordinator, staff serves as a master’s level clinician serving Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic individuals in need of specialized behavioral health services providing short-term, urgent crisis intervention services to youth at risk for an out of home placement and their families. Intervention services provided could include intake assessments, office-based and mobile psychiatric hospitalization screenings, referrals, and family interventions that require extensive crisis/safety planning and follow-up. Other duties will include consultation and collaboration with other service providers and case documentation. Services will be provided in the office, community and consumers home. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures.
Requirements: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field is required or must be obtained within 60 days of application. Possession of an appropriate State of Michigan credential is required, or must have applied for and be able to obtain within 60 days of hire. One year of experience (professional or paraprofessional) in the examination, evaluation and treatment of children and adolescents with Severe Emotional Disturbance and their families required. One year of post Master’s experience with minors with SED and families within the past 6 years. Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both in writing and verbally is required. Candidate must be able to work well with others. Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and access to reliable means of transportation for job related use is required.
Conditional Employment Requirements: Screening, verification of a professional license, Medicaid/Medicare verification, educational background check and verification of an acceptable work history. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen. Must undergo and pass a Central Registry Screening.
Salary/Hours: $30.92 - $34.80 per hour. 0-19 hours per week, hours are NOT guaranteed. Relief position is required to work various weekday shifts.
Location: Children’s Crisis Services - Clients are seen in the consumer homes, community, at Ingham Counseling Center & Jolly Rd. - Lansing, Michigan
