Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Satellite Operations Controller in Colorado Springs, CO, to support the FROST program. The role involves real-time on-orbit support, health checks, and serving as the interface to the Satellite Control Network for the government customer.

The position requires US citizenship, an active TS/SCI with POLY, a high school diploma or GED with 5 years’ related satellite operations experience, and a willingness to work shifts to sustain 24/7 operations.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required.
• High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of related experience with Satellite Operations, including military or civilian training and experience
• Must have an active TS/SCI with a POLY
• Must be willing to work shifts as required to support mission operations.

Responsibilities

• Establishing voice, messaging, and data communications for multiple-satellite programs of varying priorities and classifications.
• Configuration and monitoring of displays for computer and network equipment during normal mission operations.
• Multi-program coordination and scheduling using custom software tools.
• Determination of any anomalous condition and providing corrective actions as required.
• Generation of downtime reports and other associated documentation for operational outages.
• Support to various operations status, engineering review, and problem boards.
• Identification of areas of concern, issues, inefficiencies, and other non-value-added activities, as well as proved recommended solutions, as appropriate.
• Supporting site operations to ensure quality, safety, and compliance requirements are maintained as described in the PWS/SOW and related regulations.
• Supporting the FROST Managers to ensure a collaborative relationship with our Prime and government customer.
