Job summary

Adelphia Gateway, a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources, seeks a Pipeline Operator to monitor and control the movement of natural gas through multiple segments of pipeline from a centralized control room on a 24-hour basis, in accordance with contractual requirements and system capabilities.

Monitors pipeline and facility integrity, system pressures, and ensures timely delivery while adhering to PHMSA CRM 49 CFR Part 192.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED, or 4+ years of military experience.
• Associate degree is preferred.
• Control center experience in natural gas or liquids pipeline industry preferred.
• Familiarity with AVEVA Enterprise SCADA systems preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Control pumps and compressors remotely, monitor alarms, adjust to meet demands.
• Execute daily operating plan to ensure receipts and deliveries meet DOT and tariff standards.
• Document operational information daily during shifts.
• Communicate system status per shift change protocol and coordinate with field personnel.
• Respond to SCADA alarms and manage outages.
• Complete Operator Qualification training as required.
