Excelsior Care Group is seeking a Maintenance Director in Brooklyn, NY, to oversee daily maintenance operations of a healthcare facility. This hands-on leadership role requires managing a team while actively engaging in maintenance tasks and ensuring safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of building systems, proven leadership, and the ability to manage budgets and respond to emergencies 24/7.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of building systems and general maintenance practices.
• Proven leadership with a hands-on management style.
• Ability to manage maintenance teams and budgets.
• Willingness to respond to emergency maintenance situations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and actively participate in daily maintenance operations, including plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, painting, generators, and general facility repairs.
• Perform routine inspections to ensure equipment, systems, and infrastructure are safe, compliant, and operating efficiently.
• Schedule, supervise, and support maintenance team members to ensure coverage and timely completion of tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, warranties, preventive maintenance schedules, and facility documentation.
• Coordinate facility repairs, renovations, upgrades, and installation of new equipment.
• Monitor maintenance supplies, equipment, and inventory while assisting with budgeting and cost management.
• Communicate effectively with administration and department leaders to maintain safety and facility operations.
