Job summary

National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in Lake Park, FL seeks a Call Center Specialist to answer the national missing children hotline and accurately extract and enter pertinent information to aid in locating and reuniting missing children. This role supports disaster-related inquiries and requires NCIC certification within three months of hire.

The position is funded for a set term with potential extension based on funding and performance.

Qualifications

• Good verbal, written and telephone communications skills.
• Must have the ability to work flexible hours and regular weekend shifts.
• Type minimum 40 wpm, error free.
• If hired as a bilingual operator, must be fluent in English and foreign language.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls to the national 800 missing and exploited children hotline.
• Intake accurate reports on sightings and leads for missing children.
• Serve as a referral source to law enforcement, state clearings, and other resources.
• Enter orders and disseminate publications as needed.
• Notify on-call case managers and agencies after hours for critical cases.
