Job summary

Radius Packaging is seeking a Maintenance Manager for its New Berlin, WI facility. You will lead break/fix maintenance, drive OEM standards, and develop a high-performing team to minimize downtime and enable rapid machine setups.

The role requires 5+ years in maintenance leadership, broad technical knowledge, and a focus on safety, cost control, and cross-functional collaboration in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Maintenance Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five+ years of maintenance, engineering, reliability, or manufacturing leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, PLC/automation, pneumatic, hydraulic, HVAC, and water processing systems.
• Hands-on experience using maintenance tools to make or alter parts (lathes, drill presses, milling machines, grinders).
• Ability to dismantle, inspect, repair, and overhaul machines; read blueprints; and use precision instruments.
• Proven ability to guide and develop technicians and collaborate across functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead all break/fix maintenance activities for production equipment and the facility across all shifts.
• Establish an OEM or better standard of equipment care, repair quality, safety, communication, and accountability.
• Develop the technical skills of the maintenance team through coaching, training, and hands-on guidance.
• Identify, prioritize, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment breakdowns and production interruptions.
• Coordinate maintenance support and communicate status updates with Production, Quality, Engineering, Scheduling, and other departments.
• Plan and coordinate machine setups for blow molders and downstream equipment; drive safe setups.
• Ensure equipment, molds, heads, and related resources are ready to support production requirements.
• Maintain after-hours and weekend support processes for 24/7 response to critical breakdowns.
• Manage onsite contractors and communicate root causes to TPM & Reliability Manager.
• Ensure work orders are completed on time with proper parts and labor; control labor costs and parts purchases.
• Maintain payroll, overtime approvals, performance appraisals, and training records.
• Maintain a clean, organized maintenance shop and up-to-date documentation (O&M manuals, schematics).
• Review critical spare-parts inventory to support reliability and emergency response.
• Develop standardized processes for mold and head maintenance; support engineering projects.
