Job summary

Specialized is seeking a GSOC Operator for its Plano, Texas facility. This on-site, full-time role supports 24/7/365 operations, monitoring CCTV, alarms, and access controls while coordinating security responses and documenting incidents in accordance with SOPs and post orders.

You will triage incidents, manage multiple streams of information, and maintain situational awareness, ensuring timely, accurate responses and clear handoffs to on-call teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• College coursework or a degree in security, criminal justice, emergency management, or related field is a plus.
• Experience in GSOC/SOC, command center, dispatch, alarm monitoring, or related environment preferred.
• Familiarity with CCTV/VMS, access control, intrusion alarms, and life-safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor live CCTV/video management systems, intrusion alarms, access control, and life-safety systems across client locations.
• Identify threats, assess alarm activity, and resolve or clear false alarms per procedures.
• Answer routine and emergency calls, radio communications, and provide professional assistance to staff and guests.
• Dispatch security officers, supervisors, response teams, and, when needed, police, fire, and EMS.
• Follow SOPs, escalation protocols, and ensure documentation of incidents.
