Job summary

Encore Boston Harbor is seeking a Fire Command Center & Maintenance Operator to monitor, test, receive and relay information, work orders, and safety issues to facilities team leaders under standard and emergency conditions, with a focus on keeping guests and colleagues safe.

The FCC must be staffed 24/7 and never left unattended, maintaining all Encore standards, accurate records, and timely communication.

Qualifications

High school or equivalent degree required.
Minimum of 3 years of emergency service, dispatch, convention, customer service or related experience preferred.
Public safety dispatch experience a plus.
Requires general computer skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Must possess outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills, as well as excellent attention to detail.
Knowledge of FCC-approved codes and radio procedures required.

Responsibilities

Actively contributes to testing of the fire suppression and protection system.
Monitors stair pressurization system.
Effectively manages Elevator/Escalators Maintenance System for maintenance, requests and inspections.
Effectively manages Building Automated System, monitoring high priority equipment, alarms and processing requests.
Monitors the Electrical Distribution System.
Documents and updates status of work orders, dispatches resort requests and informs internal departments of maintenance.
Performs required preventative maintenance to support safety compliance.
Communicates maintenance needs to facilities team via radio, phone, and other means.
Coordinates with local fire department for hot-work and emergencies.
