Job summary

CGS is seeking a Data Center Operations Manager in Columbia, SC to oversee daily data center operations, maintenance, and security of server equipment for a government client. The role requires strong leadership, collaboration with vendors, and a focus on DR/backups and regulatory compliance.

Qualified candidates will have 5+ years in data center operations, a bachelor’s degree in IT/CS or related field, and advanced data center certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Advanced certifications in data center management preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data center operations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure 24/7 operation and security of data centers.
• Oversee installation, maintenance, and upgrades of data center infrastructure.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop, implement, and enforce data center policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and internal departments to support business objectives.
