Job summary

STN, Inc. is seeking a Site Operations Manager to lead the data center operations at a designated facility in Orangeburg, SC. You will oversee maintenance, incident response, vendor management, capacity planning, and operational excellence, reporting to Infrastructure & DCO.

The role requires 7+ years in critical facilities with 3+ years in leadership, plus strong electrical and mechanical infra knowledge. A CPA-certified safety culture and adherence to safety standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Operations Management, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 7+ years of experience in critical facilities, data center operations, or mission-critical environments.
• 3+ years of leadership or management experience.
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical infrastructure systems in a data center environment.
• Experience managing preventive maintenance programs and vendor relationships.
• Knowledge of safety programs including LOTO, electrical safety, and permit-to-work systems.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day data center operations, ensuring uptime and reliability of critical infrastructure.
• Develop and mentor site operations personnel including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Establish and maintain operational procedures, policies, and best practices.
• Serve as the escalation point for critical incidents and operational issues.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of critical systems (electrical, UPS, generators, switchgear, HVAC, fire systems, BMS, environmental monitoring).
• Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance activities are executed on schedule.
• Lead incident response and root cause analysis; develop corrective actions.
• Promote safety culture; ensure OSHA, environmental, and company safety policy compliance.
• Manage vendor relationships and SLAs; review performance.
• Develop site operational budgets and support capacity planning and forecasting.
• Provide reporting on site performance and improvements to stakeholders.
