Job summary

ERCOT is seeking HVAC technicians to install, maintain, and inspect critical HVAC infrastructure, ensuring uptime in a 24/7 environment. The role supports data centers and facility systems, with emergency response and on-call duties as needed.

Senior and Lead levels involve root-cause analysis, cost estimates, and installation planning. Requires high school diploma and Texas/EPA certifications preferred for advanced positions.

Qualifications

• Level 2: At least 2 years of job-related experience beyond degree required.
• Level 3: Minimum 5 years of job-related experience beyond degree, including 5 years progressively responsible work in installation, maintenance, service, and repair.
• Lead Level: Minimum 8 years of job-related experience beyond degree, including 8 years progressively responsible work in installation, maintenance, service, and repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, repair, and physical inspection of critical infrastructure HVAC equipment to ensure up time within a 24/7 operational environment.
• Utilizes BAS applications for analysis, reporting, and optimized control of HVAC systems.
• Plan layout and installation of HVAC additions and controls throughout ERCOT mission critical facilities.
• Responds to safety and emergency incidents for Facilities Services, maintaining a secure and safe work environment.
