Job summary

Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) is seeking a skilled HVAC technician to perform installation, maintenance, and repairs of critical HVAC infrastructure in a 24/7 environment. You will diagnose issues, service components, and help ensure uptime for data centers and facilities across ERCOT campuses.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, Texas driver license, and relevant EPA certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• EPA Certification (Preferred).
• Liebert Service and Repair Certification (Preferred).
• TACL Class A license (Preferred).
• State of Texas ACR Class A Contractor license (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair HVAC equipment to ensure uptime in a 24/7 environment.
• Assist with diagnostics and repairs on heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
• Contribute to equipment failure reviews and root cause analysis.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on HVAC components and service compressors.
• Support availability and capacity targets for data centers and technical infrastructure.
