Job summary

WinCo Foods is hiring for a Self-Checkout Attendant at our Arlington, TX location. You will work in a 24/7 retail environment across a two-aisle check stand, a multi-station SCO lane, or at the customer service desk as assigned.

Typical shifts run 6–8 hours between 5:00 am and 1:00 am. You will greet customers, assist with transactions, and help maintain a clean, organized checkout area while supporting accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to work varied shifts in a 24/7 operation including night, weekends and holidays.
• Friendly, courteous relations with customers and co-workers.
• Effective communication with customers and team.
• Ability to complete written forms.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and up to 20 lbs. frequently.
• Stand or sit for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Learn and memorize product location, prices, and PLU codes.
• Adhere to cash handling and lane policies.

Responsibilities

• Welcome, engage, serve and thank customers to create a friendly shopping experience.
• Operate check stand equipment to process customer orders accurately.
• Engage in suggestive selling and other sales techniques.
• Handle monetary transactions and ensure accuracy in cash handling.
• Maintain knowledge of product locations, UPC codes, and pricing.
• Keep check stands and SCO areas clean, stocked, and safe.
• May work at a customer service desk or SCO lane as needed.
• Follow state laws regarding sale of restricted items and voucher procedures.
