ESU invites adjunct faculty to lead general education physics courses PHYS101, PHYS110, PHYS117, PHYS131/132, and calculus-based PHYS161/162, delivering lectures and labs to undergraduate students.

• Teach GENERAL EDUCATION physics courses PHYS101, PHYS110, PHYS117.
• Teach algebra-based introductory physics lectures and labs PHYS131/132.
• Teach calculus-based introductory physics lectures and labs PHYS161/162.

Job description

Adjunctfaculty will primarily teach general education courses (PHYS101 PhysicalScience; PHYS110 Sound, Waves and Light; PHYS117 Energy), algebra-basedintroductory physics lectures and labs (PHYS131 and PHYS132; FundamentalPhysics I and II), and calculus-based introductory physics, combinedlecture/lab (PHYS161 and PHYS162; Physics I and II).

Qualifications

• The minimum requirement is a Master’s degree in physics.
• Candidate shoulddemonstrate teaching excellence in the courses to be taught.
• Preferencewill be given to those with experience working with student populationsreflective of the diversity and background of ESU students.
