JBS is seeking an hourly Shipping Lead Team Member! Position starts at $22.50 per hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Overseeing a team of employees to achieve business results.
  • Achieve warehouse targets safely and efficiently.
  • Coordinate activities with procurement, maintenance, warehouse, and quality departments.
  • Support warehouse personnel by maintaining presence on the warehouse floor.
  • Maintain an engaged, team-oriented workforce.
  • Ensure plant Safety, GMP, and SQF programs are followed.

2. Provide Support to Company Policies and Procedures

  • Create a respectful environment for all team members.
  • Promote cooperation and high-quality workmanship.
  • Train team members on policies, rules, and job duties.
  • Monitor adherence to GMPs and specifications; maintain sanitation and product quality.
  • Follow daily work schedules and report variances.
  • Encourage efficient use of resources with minimal waste.

3. Ensure Company Policies and Safety Standards

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Report safety incidents immediately.
  • Participate in root cause analysis of incidents.
  • Stay updated on safety policies and regulations.
  • Report equipment issues to maintenance.

4. Lead Warehouse Functions

  • Train and direct team members, prioritize work.
  • Oversee shipping, receiving, storage, and inventory.
  • Inspect shipments for damage and discrepancies.
  • Plan storage for optimal space utilization.
  • Operate warehouse equipment and software.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in the warehouse.
  • Recommend procedures for efficiency improvements.

5. Follow E21 Procedures

  • Scan work order barcodes, manage license plates, and move products accordingly.
  • Reconcile staging locations and ensure proper documentation.

6. Serve as E21 Liaison

  • Report procedural issues to IT support.
  • Become subject matter expert on E21 procedures.
  • Troubleshoot issues on the floor.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Certifications in SQF, GMP, HACCP
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely
  • Supervisory experience in a plant setting
  • Experience in warehouse processes and inventory management
  • WMS and barcode scanner experience
  • Leadership and coaching skills
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Effective communication skills in English

Physical Activities and Conditions

Standing, walking, lifting up to 100 pounds, working in cold, damp environment at 34°F, long hours.
