The role offers hands-on experience in creating and distributing video content for USGA digital channels, including social, websites, and other platforms, with mentorship from the Marketing and Creative team.

You will assist editors, log footage, transcribe interviews, and contribute to editing in Adobe Premiere Pro.

About this role:

The USGA is offering a full-time, paid internship to highly motivated and committed video production intern wishing to build upon their college education with practical professional creative experience in the fast-paced world of the golf.

The Video Production Intern is responsible for the assistance in creation and distribution of video to be published on USGA digital channels (social, USGA websites, and other digital platforms). S/he must be a self-starter with production experience, able to slide into a variety of junior production roles. This position will be a part of the USGA’s Marketing and Creative team and will assist colleagues in bringing the USGA’s video content to life, including both championship and non-championship news and features.They are solutions-oriented self-starter behind the camera and in the edit suite, who can keep the USGA’s goals and mission in mind when making decisions. The successful team member understands how to tailor the story to different platforms with an emphasis on social media.

Where you’ll be:

This role will be based at our Liberty Corner, NJ campus on a hybrid schedule. Employees are required to spend 3 days per week working in the office, between Monday - Thursday. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are mandatory in-office community days. Employees can choose between Monday or Thursday as their third in-office day.

Pay:

$20.00/hr., subject to applicable overtime laws.

Internship Dates:

Early Spring 2027, for up to one year.

What you bring:

1-2 years of experience in video production

• Knowledge of the entire video production process
• Basic knowledge of video production equipment and editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects)
• Understanding of DSLR and cinema cameras
• Pursuing or obtained bachelor’s degree in discipline emphasizing storytelling and multimedia content creation
• A creative mindset and willingness to learn
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• A passion for interactive, multimedia storytelling
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Appreciation of the game of golf, especially as it relates to USGA activities and mission

Experience & Education

Completed bachelor’s or graduate degree

• Experience with Mac and digital photography
• Experience in the sports industry is preferred
