Northrop Grumman is seeking Test Engineers for an internship opportunity. This position will be located at our Mission Systems sector in Sunnyvale, CA. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Marine Systems Business Unit.

Basic Qualifications

• Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2027
• Be majoring in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree
• Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.
• Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

Preferred Qualifications

• Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher
• Experience using benchtop instrumentation (e.g. spectrum analyzers and digital multimeters).
• Ability to interpret basic circuit diagrams and engineering drawings
• Experience troubleshooting analog or high-voltage circuitry
• Programming and/or automation experience (e. g. MATLAB, Labview, Python, C/C++, C#, and Visual Basic)
• PLC programming experience (e.g. Allen Bradley)
• Experience testing magnetic bearings or other rotating machinery
• Acoustics, dynamics, or control-systems testing experience
• Experience using multi-channel data acquisition (DAQ) systems
• Experience testing large structures
• Systems Engineering experience
• Navy or other military experience
• Active U.S. DoD Secret security clearance

Intern Pay Range

• Bachelor's: $21.50 to $39.00 per hour
• Master's: $30.50 to $48.00 per hour

At Northrop Grumman, our internship pay rates are standardized and take into account three main factors: the anticipated graduation date of the individual, the cost of labor of the geographic location, and whether the internship is considered technical or administrative.

Campusjobs Primary Level Salary Range: $1.00 - $1.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
