Job summary

Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits in Aurora, CO offers a structured internship designed to expose students to the wine and spirits distribution industry. The Intern will rotate across teams such as Merchandising, Sales, Marketing, Special Events, and Warehouse & Delivery to gain broad knowledge of the business.

You must be a junior pursuing a BS/BA, be at least 21, maintain a 2.0 GPA, and be ready to develop strong communication, organizational, and Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Residency near internship site or ability to obtain housing.
• Junior in college pursuing BS/BA in business, marketing, communications, retail, or hospitality.
• At least 21 years old at internship start.
• Maintain minimum 2.0 GPA.
• Strong teamwork, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license with auto-liability insurance per state laws.

Overview

The Intern works in one area of our business or a variety of teams including but not limited to: Merchandising, Sales, Marketing, Special Events, and Warehouse & Delivery to gain knowledge and understanding of the alcohol distribution industry. The structured internship opportunity is designed to give students exposure to the wine and spirits industry and broad experience in various aspects of the relationship between marketing, sales, and distribution.

Primary Responsibilities

• Work with a variety of teams to become familiar in all aspects of the company
• Participate in training, on-site meetings, and department-wide learning opportunities as available
• Assist with our On-Premise Surveys
• Support the team with additional projects as assigned and defined by student's specific learning goals
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Residein the vicinity of the internship or can obtain housing
• Must be a Junior in college and graduating the following semester or year completing BS/BA in a variety of majors including but not limited to business, sales, marketing, communications,retail,or hospitality
• Must be at least 21 years of ageat the start of the internship
• Maintain at a minimum a 2.0 GPA (Grade Point Average)
• Teamwork approach toaccomplishinggoals

• Ability to organize and manage multiple projects
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of Excel,Word,and PowerPoint
• Reliable transportation
