Job summary

Rosendin offers a paid 12-week Engineering Intern program designed for students ready to advance in the electrical construction industry. You will work on real projects alongside experienced professionals across areas like project management, engineering, BIM, estimating, and procurement.

You will gain hands-on experience, take ownership of meaningful work, and receive mentorship while developing technical, professional, and leadership skills on active construction sites.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree with an expected graduation date of 2027 or later in a related field.
• Interest in electrical, civil, or mechanical engineering and construction.
• Willingness to learn and contribute in a hands-on internship.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with electrical system design activities, including power, lighting, and auxiliary systems.
• Support preparation and review of drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Assist with basic electrical calculations, engineering analyses, and project deliverables.
• Participate in project meetings and collaborate with engineering and construction teams.
• Support field visits and site observations to gain exposure to project execution.
• Learn and use industry software while providing administrative and technical support.

What You'll Do

As an Engineering Intern, you may:

What You Bring To Us

You are currently pursuing a bachelor's degree with an expected graduation date of December 2027 or later in a field aligned with Rosendin's work, including but not limited to:

• Rising junior or rising senior status preferred
• Electrical Engineering
• Architectural Engineering
• Construction Sciences
• Construction Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Civil Engineering
• Previous construction or engineering internship experience a plus

What You'll Need To Be Successful

• Basic understanding of engineering principles and concepts
• Familiarity (or willingness to learn) tools such as Autodesk (AutoCAD/Revit), Microsoft Office, and engineering analysis software
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to follow direction, ask questions, and take initiative
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn in a team environment
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting

Working Conditions

• General work environment: This position is performed primarily on active construction sites. Activities include sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, and bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions, such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
• Noise level is typically low to medium.
• Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.

Pay Range

$25.00-$28.00 Hourly
