Job summary

Rosendin's Summer Internship Program is a paid 12 week hands‑on experience designed for students ready to take the next step in their professional journey.

You’ll gain exposure to the electrical construction industry by working on real projects alongside experienced professionals across areas such as: Project Management, Engineering, BIM (Building Information Modeling), Estimating & Preconstruction, Procurement & Supply Chain.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree with expected graduation December 2027 or later.
• Rising junior or rising senior status preferred.
• Field aligned with Rosendin’s work (EE, CE, Mech, Arch Eng).
• Previous construction or engineering internship experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with electrical system design activities.
• Support the preparation and review of drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Assist with basic electrical calculations, analyses, and project deliverables.
• Participate in project meetings and collaborate with engineering and construction teams.
• Support field visits and site observations to gain exposure to project execution.

What You’ll Do

• Assist engineers with electrical system design activities, including power, lighting, and auxiliary systems.
• Support the preparation and review of drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Assist with basic electrical calculations, engineering analyses, and project‑related deliverables.
• Participate in project meetings and collaborate with engineering and construction teams.
• Support field visits and site observations to gain exposure to project execution and existing electrical systems.
• Learn and utilize industry software, tools, and engineering best practices while providing administrative and technical support to the engineering team.

What You Bring To Us

What You’ll Need To Be Successful

• Basic understanding of engineering principles and concepts
• Familiarity (or willingness to learn) tools such as Autodesk (AutoCAD/Revit), Microsoft Office, and engineering analysis software
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to follow direction, ask questions, and take initiative
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn in a team environment
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced setting

Working Conditions

• General work environment: This position is performed primarily on active construction sites. Activities include sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, and bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions, such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
• Noise level is typically low to medium.
• Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.

Pay Range

$25.00-$28.00 Hourly
