Job summary

Rosendin Electric, Inc. is offering a paid Summer Internship Program designed for students ready to take the next step in their professional journey.

You'll gain exposure to the electrical construction industry by working on real projects alongside experienced professionals. You'll assist engineers with design activities, review drawings, and participate in project meetings while learning software like AutoCAD and Revit.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of engineering principles and concepts.
• Familiarity with tools such as Autodesk AutoCAD/Revit, Microsoft Office, and engineering analysis software.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to follow direction, ask questions, and take initiative.
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn in a team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with electrical system design activities, including power, lighting, and auxiliary systems.
• Support the preparation and review of drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Assist with basic electrical calculations, engineering analyses, and project-related deliverables.
• Participate in project meetings and collaborate with engineering and construction teams.
• Support field visits and site observations to gain exposure to project execution and existing electrical systems.
• Learn and utilize industry software, tools, and engineering best practices while providing administrative and technical support to the engineering team.

Working Conditions

General work environment: This position is performed primarily on active construction sites. Activities include sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, and bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions, such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning. Noise level is typically low to medium. Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.

Pay Range

$25.00-$28.00

Hourly Pay Range The pay range for this role is what we expect to pay for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this job description. Candidate’s pay can vary based on location, job-related experience, skills, and education.
