Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or related field
• Understanding of general engineering theory and concepts
• Proficient with MS Office; tablets, smartphones, laptops
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to collect field data and measurements; perform asset inspections
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Capable of working outdoors and lifting up to 40 pounds

BETA Group, Inc. is seeking motivated candidates for our 2027 Summer Internship – Drinking Water, Wastewater, and Stormwater Engineering program. As an intern, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of real-world environmental, drinking water, stormwater, and wastewater projects alongside a team of experienced engineers, planners, and scientists. Requirements

Skills Required

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or related field
• Understanding of general engineering theory and concepts
• Proficient in the use of current technology (i.e., tablets, smart phones, laptops, etc.)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong technical aptitude with an eagerness to learn
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detailMust be able to collect field data and measurements including but not limited to roadway, sidewalk, and utility assets; and perform asset inspections
• Must be able to lift/move objects weighing up to 40 pounds
• Must be able to perform field work in both hot and cold weather (rain and/or snow)
• Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred Experience

• General working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or other CAD platform
• OSHA 10 Certification
