Job summary

Responsibilities

• Support infrastructure modernization projects and upgrades.

• Develop documentation and runbooks.
• Assist with patch management and incident handling.
• Work with engineers and admins to support Windows, Active Directory, and virtualization.
• Participate in change management processes.

About the role:

As Platform Services intern, you will work alongside IT administrators, engineers, and analysts, gaining exposure to lifecycle management, infrastructure operations, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will gain hands‑on experience supporting enterprise infrastructure technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization platforms. This role provides an opportunity to build technical skills while contributing to the reliability, efficiency, and modernization of critical enterprise platforms.

You will report to the Platform Services Manager and be located at our Cranberry location. This is a paid full‑time hybrid position for the summer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support infrastructure modernization projects, including Windows Server upgrades, virtualization initiatives, and technology refreshes.
• Assist with the installation, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of enterprise infrastructure platforms.
• Contribute to automation and continuous improvement efforts using PowerShell and other approved technologies.
• Develop and maintain operational documentation, knowledge articles, and Platform Services runbooks.
• Support patch management, vulnerability remediation, and operational reporting activities.
• Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes while gaining hands‑on experience with enterprise IT operations.
• Work alongside engineers, administrators, and analysts to support Windows, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in information systems
• Completed Sophomore year of college
• Hands on support and troubleshooting Windows
• Experience in Windows Servers, VMWare, and Citrix preferred

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $25.40 to $29.00 per hour.
