Job summary

ICF Olson is seeking an Operations Associate Intern to support the Administrative Operations Services team. This 10-week, full-time internship in Reston, VA offers hands-on exposure to business process improvement, AI enablement, and data reporting.

Ideal candidates are curious, analytical, collaborative and able to work across operations, technology, data and transformation efforts. Relocation is not provided at this time.

Qualifications

• Completion of at least 30 college-level credit hours in a related field by start date.
• Bachelor's degree completed or enrollment verification in graduate program related to business/ops preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with MS Office. Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research, benchmarking, and data analysis to support decision making.
• Document business processes, workflows, and procedures.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and standardization.
• Support AI enablement, reporting, governance, and operational improvement.
• Assist with data collection, validation, and reporting activities.

Ready to Make a Difference? ICF is seeking an Operations Associate Intern to support the Administrative Operations Services (AOS) team. This internship offers an opportunity to gain hands‑on experience supporting strategic operational initiatives focused on business process improvement, AI enablement, data and reporting enhancements, and operational modernization. Working alongside AOS leaders and subject matter experts, you will contribute to projects that improve operational effectiveness, support data‑driven decision‑making, and advance innovative solutions across the organization. This role is ideal for someone who is curious, analytical, collaborative, and interested in the intersection of business operations, technology, data, and continuous improvement. This is an entry‑level, 10‑week, full time internship that begins in early June and ends in early August. This role will be hybrid from Reston, VA. At this time, we are unable to provide relocation assistance for internships at this time.

Responsibilities may include:

• Conducting research, benchmarking, and data analysis to support decision making

Basic Qualifications

By the start date, completion of at least 30 college‑level credit hours in Business, Operations Management, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Public Administration, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

A completed bachelor's degree and enrollment verification or 9 credit hours completed in a graduate program related to Business, Operations Management, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Public Administration, Engineering or Economics. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Coursework or experience related to business analysis, project management, process improvement, data analytics, operations, or technology. Interest in AI, automation, operational excellence, or business transformation. Experience conducting research, collecting data, or developing presentations and reports. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform, Power BI, SharePoint, or similar business tools. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
