Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in Cranberry Township, PA, is seeking a Global Accounting Intern to support the Global Accounting & Close team with closing administration, journal entries, cost distributions, and closing checklists.

You will report to the Accounting Manager, work a paid full-time hybrid position for the summer (May–August 2027), and assist with process improvements while ensuring accurate financial records.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent
• Completed Sophomore year of college

Responsibilities

• Provide support with the preparation of the closing checklist in Blackline and the accounting calendar
• Help post legacy non-SAP entity's trial balance feeds from non-US locations into SAP including mapping of legacy accounts
• Help prepare Blackline account reconciliations and journal entries for accounts under Global Accounting & Close organization
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in existing business practices and create standard operating procedures documentation

Education

About the role:

As a Global Accounting Intern you will provide support to the Global Accounting & Close team with the closing administration functions by assisting with preparing journal entries, cost distributions and assuring completion to journal entry closing check lists for the Global Accounting & Close organization.

You will report to the Accounting Manager and be located at Cranberry. This is a paid full-time hybrid position for the summer, May - August 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support with the preparation of the closing checklist in Blackline and the accounting calendar
• Help post legacy non-SAP entity's trial balance feeds from non-US locations into SAP including mapping of legacy accounts
• Help prepare Blackline account reconciliations and journal entries for accounts under Global Accounting & Close organization
