Job summary

Charter Communications, operating under the Spectrum brand, offers a paid 11-week internship in the telecommunications field for students pursuing diverse degrees. The program runs May 26 to August 6, 2027, with mentorship, professional development sessions, and networking opportunities.

You will work across departments with an intern cohort on department-focused projects while also engaging in cross-functional activities, webinars, and community service to broaden your experience.

Qualifications

• Must be a rising senior with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028.
• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university completing a bachelor's degree.
• Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program.
• Ability to travel locally to Spectrum intern development events and activities throughout the program.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Community Impact program and volunteer event planning. Create tools and resources for employee volunteer activations.
• Support 2027 Spectrum Digital Education grants cycle.
• Work in nonprofit management tool, Benevity, to manage processes.
• Additional program development support as assigned.
• Participate in kickoff conference, professional development sessions and networking activities.

• This is a paid, full-time, 11-week internship designed to give you real-world experience and meaningful exposure to the telecommunications industry in your chosen field.

• In addition to role-specific projects, you’ll take part in professional development sessions, networking opportunities, mentorship and experiences that help you grow personally and professionally.

What you can expect in this role

As a Spectrum intern, you’ll spend the summer working alongside two teams: your respective department and your intern cohort.

Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You’ll spend the other 20% on internship experiences that include a kickoff conference, professional development sessions and networking activities, webinars, community service, cross-functional projects and final presentations.

This experience is designed to help you explore your interests, expand your network and leave with a deeper understanding of both your field and the impact of our business.

Internship responsibilities may include:

We partner with organizations that share our focus on making an impact through several signature philanthropic and engagement programs including: Spectrum Community Center Assist, Spectrum Digital Education, Spectrum Employee Community Grants, Spectrum Scholars, Spectrum Community Investment Loan Fund and Spectrum Smart Device Training for Seniors.
