At Regeneron, we use science and innovation to develop life-changing medicines for people with serious diseases. Regeneron is currently seeking multiple 2027 Interns in the Combination Products & Device Development organization of Regeneron Industrial Operations and Product Supply (IOPS). This team designs, tests, and validates the delivery devices, such as prefilled syringes and auto-injectors, that get Regenerons medicines safely and reliably to patients.
These positions offer the opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing, science-driven organization making a meaningful difference to patients worldwide.
Location: Rensselaer / East Greenbush, NY
Timeframe: Our internship positions are full-time and onsite from May/June-August
Pay: Intern and Co-op pay ranges are determined by level of education (year in school) and degree program. The hourly rate range for these locations is: $17.90-$25.50 per hour.
Many of Regeneron's medicines are delivered via devices (think: a prefilled syringe or an auto-injector pen). This team designs, tests, and validates those delivery systems and prepares the data that supports regulatory submissions.
Projects involve characterization testing of syringes and other device components (including performance over time under different storage conditions), designing and fabricating test fixtures and writing test methods for medical device standards, human factors research (studying how patients use devices, including reviewing regulatory feedback trends), researching regional regulatory requirements for combination products, and building planning tools or dashboards including AI-enabled tools to estimate test sample needs and identify sample sources.
Most are hands-on engineering projects requiring comfort with lab equipment, test methods, and technical reporting; a few (such as human factors and regulatory research, or the dashboard-development project) are research-, writing-, or software-focused.
Relevant majors: Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Human Factors Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science/Data Science (for dashboard and tool-development projects)
Demonstrated leadership in areas such as campus activities, clubs, sports, current or previous work, or within the community preferred
Must be enrolled in, or accepted to, an academic program pursuing an Undergraduate or Graduate degree (and be returning to school the semester following the position or graduating after the position)
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
