Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Support Device Trade-In and Upgrade initiatives with analytical, operational, and partner-facing tasks.
  • Conduct in-depth reporting analysis on model pricing and liquidation performance.
  • Perform outlier analysis and support data-driven decision making.
  • Review and optimize trade-in and upgrade processes and flows end-to-end.
  • Assist in evaluating marketing promotions and sourcing improvements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with trade-in, marketing, and operations teams and present findings.

  • This is a paid, full-time, 11-week internship designed to give you real-world experience and meaningful exposure to the telecommunications industry in your chosen field.
  • Internship program runs from May 26 through August 6, 2027.

What you can expect in this role

As a Spectrum intern, you’ll spend the summer working alongside two teams: your respective department and your intern cohort.

Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You’ll spend the other 20% on internship experiences that include a kickoff conference, professional development sessions and networking activities, webinars, community service, cross-functional projects and final presentations.

This experience is designed to help you explore your interests, expand your network and leave with a deeper understanding of both your field and the impact of our business.

Internship responsibilities may include:

Device Trade-In and Upgrade Team Intern will provide support to the Device Trade-In and Upgrade team by managing analytical, operational, and partner-facing initiatives across these functions. This position will play a critical role in driving liquidation improvements in partnership with our trade-in partner, conducting in-depth reporting analysis on model pricing and liquidation performance, and supporting outlier analysis to strengthen overall program performance. The intern will also review process flows and recommend improvements, assess and optimize marketing promotions tied to trade-in and upgrade offers, and help build stronger partner relationship through improved sourcing and onboarding practices. Overall, this role will enhance the efficiency, profitability, and customer experience of our device trade-in and upgrade programs.

  • Partner with our trade-in vendor to identify and implement improvements to device liquidation rates and processes
  • Conduct deep-dive analysis on trade-in reporting data, focusing on model-level pricing trends and liquidation performance
  • Perform outlier analysis to flag pricing or performance anomalies and support data-driven decision-making
  • Review current trade-in and upgrade process flows end-to-end, identifying inefficiencies and recommending improvements
  • Assess the effectiveness of trade-in and upgrade marketing promotions, and support optimization of future promo strategies
  • Support buyer sourcing efforts, including identifying and onboarding new buyers and strengthening existing buyer relationships
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with trade-in partners, marketing, and operations teams to support program-wide goals Present findings and recommendations to the Trade-In and Upgrade team throughout the summer
Required qualifications
  • Must be a rising senior with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University completing a bachelor’s degree
  • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
  • Ability to travel locally to Spectrum intern development events and activities throughout the program
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify trends
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis); familiarity with Google Sheets a plus
  • Comfort working with large data sets and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar) preferred Basic understanding of SQL a plus, not required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly
  • Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple workstreams
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners Interest in retail operations, e-commerce, or device/trade-in industries a plus
