Job summary

Waymo, the autonomous driving technology company, is seeking a software engineering intern to join the Reasoning Platform team. You will help build robust C++ autolabeler tooling to mine events from daily driving data and evaluate labeling quality.

You will collaborate with researchers and engineers across perception, decision-making and testing, run experiments, report results, and contribute to scalable software for Level 4 autonomous driving.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s in software engineering or a related field.
• Strong C++ coding ability.
• Solid understanding of fundamental algorithms and data structures.
• Proficiency with software testing (unit, integration, regression).
• Comfortable working with data and designing metrics.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate well in teams.

The subteam for this role will be:

The Reasoning Platform team builds and maintains the foundational APIs, architecture, and frameworks that power all the Reasoning subteams at Waymo. We own the interfaces connecting reasoning logic to the rest of the Waymo Planner, both on and off the vehicle.

The expected hourly rate for this full-time position is listed below. Interns are also eligible to participate in the Company’s generous benefits programs, subject to eligibility requirements.
