Ares Commercial Finance (ACF) leverages the scale and flexible capital of the Ares platform to provide innovative asset-based and cash flow solutions to small and middle-market companies, as well as asset-backed facilities to specialty finance companies. ACF is part of the Ares Credit Group, which as of December 31, 2025, had over $406.9 billion of assets under management. Our senior ACF investment professionals have on average over 24 years of experience in commercial finance and asset-based lending. Our team uses a combination of specialized credit and collateral monitoring to provide clients with flexibility and greater credit availability. ACF has the ability to structure and agent deals to support the growth and changing capital needs of its clients. Our asset-based lines of credit may be structured as working capital financing, bridge financing, turnaround financing, acquisition financing, debtor-in-possession financing and special accommodation financing.
Ares is seeking an intern to support the Americas Relationship Management team in marketing the firm’s investment strategies to institutional investors. The role involves managing Salesforce data, preparing customized materials for fundraising roadshows and meetings, and tracking investor activity and preferences. Interns will conduct market and competitor research to identify key prospects and assist with performance reporting through weekly summaries and campaign trackers. They will help organize team workflows by ensuring timely completion of deliverables and maintaining records of client interactions and meetings. Additional responsibilities include preparing regional meeting materials, distributing notes, and contributing to ad hoc projects across the team.

They will conduct fund-level analyses to generate actionable insights and contribute to key projects by drafting presentations and supporting leadership requests. The role also emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, encouraging interns to build strong networks across the firm. The Ares Quantitative Research Group (QRG) is a pioneer in the application of quantitative analytics to private markets. QRG works across asset classes, including credit, private equity, private real estate, and infrastructure, to provide investable insights to Ares' investment teams, deepen relationships with Ares' investors, and help develop new products for the firm. The group is a leader in private market performance measurement, having played a key role in the development of Direct Alpha and Excess Value. It regularly deals with questions that are novel, benefiting from the opportunities created by the under-researched nature of private assets and leverages Ares' privileged access to data across private asset classes. QRG consists of three teams, Research, Portfolio Insights, and Data Science, and acts as a firm-wide hub, coordinating closely with quantitative resources embedded within Ares' investment teams.
Ares Insurance Solutions (AIS) is Ares’ dedicated, in-house team focused on delivering investment, reinsurance and other strategic capital solutions to insurance clients. AIS works across the Ares platform, leveraging the firm’s investment capabilities to address insurance clients objectives such as capital efficiency, yield enhancement and asset-liability matching. Interns will gain exposure to the intersection of privately originated investments and the insurance industry by supporting investments, modeling, reinsurance, structuring, marketing and investor relations. They may also assist with analyzing market and industry trends, and collaborating with professionals across Ares’ investment, finance, risk, and operations teams. This internship offers an opportunity to develop a broad understanding of insurance asset management while contributing to analytical and strategic initiatives across the business.
Ares is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join its Investor Relations & Product Management team, supporting specialists in Real Estate. The role involves assisting with investor communications, preparing presentations, and conducting market and competitor analysis to inform strategic decisions. Interns will contribute to fundraising efforts, support new business development initiatives, and manage transactional data for third-party providers. They will collaborate closely with internal teams, including portfolio management, legal, compliance, and marketing—to ensure seamless information flow and strong cross-functional relationships. Additionally, the intern will help streamline data processes and maintain consistency across all investor-facing materials.
Ares is seeking interns to join its Portfolio Management department within both the Real Estate and Credit Direct Lending groups, offering hands-on exposure to the daily responsibilities of a Portfolio Management professional. Interns will evaluate pipeline investments, conduct portfolio analysis and reporting, and perform ad hoc research for limited partners, while also engaging in special analytics projects and quarterly valuations. They will apply proprietary software tools to monitor portfolio company performance and gain a deeper understanding of the leveraged loan market. Each intern will complete a capstone project, developed in collaboration with their manager and presented to the broader investment team. Throughout the program, interns will interact with key functions across the firm—including deal origination, corporate debt underwriting, investor relations, accounting, finance, performance, and restructuring, building a comprehensive view of Ares’ investment operations.
