Job summary

Wolfoods, Inc. seeks an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to lead a busy summer camp kitchen on-site. You will supervise prep, manage staff, and ensure allergen safety while delivering high-quality, scratch-made meals for campers and staff.

This seasonal, on-site role demands a hands-on leader ready to work a minimum 6 days per week (70 hours). Competitive pay with bonus and room/board is offered across rural camp facilities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Strong leadership and cooking skills; able to navigate iPad and adapt ingredients.
• Physical ability to stand long hours and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to live on-site in a rustic setting and work a demanding min 6 days / 70 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff to maintain high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee prep and production for designated day parts and ensure timely meal service.
• Enforce allergen safety protocols (Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan, etc.) and sanitation standards.

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced, high-energy Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership position. You will oversee all prep and production for designated day part, staff management, and allergen safety at a top-tier summer camp.

This is an on-site, live-in position in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operations & Leadership: Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Culinary & Quality Excellence: Operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking execution, and timely meal service.
• Allergen & Safety Compliance: Strictly manage food allergy protocols (Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan, etc.) and maintain top Health Department sanitation standards.
• Administration & Budget: Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting
• Client Relations: Serve as a liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
