Job summary

FHLB Dallas is seeking an accounting/IT-oriented intern to explore automation, BI and accounting systems within a professional, inclusive culture. You will gain hands-on experience at the intersection of finance and technology, preparing you for a career in financial services technology.

You will develop skills in data analysis, SQL, Excel, and Power Platform while learning about the Federal Home Loan Banks' role as intermediaries between capital markets and members.

Qualifications

• Pursuing undergraduate or graduate degree with concentration in accounting and/or information technology.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Team player with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and professional demeanor.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Attentive listener who follows instructions.
• Academic or real-world experience in data science.
• Strong SQL and Excel skills.
• Knowledge of Power Platform desired.
• A written reference from faculty is appreciated though not required.
• Hours Per Week: 40.

Responsibilities

• Assist in automation and business process improvement initiatives.

Additionally, you will learn about the Federal Home Loan Banks' (FHLBs) integral role as intermediaries between capital markets and their members. Approximately 80% of U.S. lending institutions are members of an FHLBank.
