Job summary

Novogradac & Company LLP is hiring Staff Accountant Interns for the busy season 2027. This internship provides hands-on experience in audit, tax preparation, and research.

Interns will complete tax/audit engagements, conduct research, and develop client relationships. A Bachelor’s degree in progress is preferred, along with a GPA of 3.20 or higher. The role includes competitive pay of $29 per hour, flexible arrangements, and participation in Employee Resource Groups.

Qualifications

• Working toward a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting or finance.
• GPA of 3.20 or higher.
• Completion of at least one Intermediate Accounting course preferred.

Novogradac is hiring Staff Accountant Interns for the busy season 2027 (January–March 2027).

Position Summary

This internship program exposes interns to audit, tax preparation, and research, providing hands‑on experience as a staff accountant in a growing national CPA firm.

Contributions and Responsibilities

• Complete tax and/or audit engagements for designated clients as directed by your supervisor or manager.
• Identify and communicate potential problem areas during engagements.
• Conduct business‑specific research – gather and analyze data, interpret results, compile reports, and make recommendations to principals and partners.
• Develop effective client relationships through professionalism and follow‑through.
• Assist with other duties and projects as assigned.

Background and Skills

• Working toward a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting or finance (obtained degree is a plus).
• GPA of 3.20 or higher.
• Preferred completion of at least one Intermediate Accounting course and/or on track for CPA examination.
• Basic understanding of accounting and tax rules.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail, strong organization, and the ability to work under close supervision.
• Ability to work collaboratively and foster a productive, team‑oriented environment.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word & Excel) and report‑writing tools.
