Job summary

Novogradac & Company LLP is seeking a Staff Accountant Intern for the busy season 2027 (January through March). This internship will expose you to our business and client service needs while allowing for professional growth.

Key responsibilities include completing tax and audit engagements, conducting research, and developing client relationships. Candidates should be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with a GPA of 3.20 or higher.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with GPA of 3.20 or higher.
• Preferred completion of at least one Intermediate Accounting course.
• Basic understanding of accounting and tax rules.

Responsibilities

• Complete tax and/or audit engagements for designated clients.

Staff Accountant Intern – Busy Season 2027

Novogradac is hiring Staff Accountant Interns for the busy season 2027 (January through March). The internship is designed to expose future leaders of public accounting to our partners, business, and client service needs.

Responsibilities

• Complete tax and/or audit engagements for designated clients as directed by Supervisor or Manager.
• Identify and communicate potential problem areas during engagements.
• Conduct business-specific research – gather and analyze data, interpret results, compile reports, and make recommendations to principals and partners.
• Develop effective client relationships through professionalism and follow-through.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (obtained degree is a plus) with GPA of 3.20 or higher.
• Preferred completion of at least one Intermediate Accounting course and being on track or already qualified to sit for the CPA examination.
• Basic understanding of accounting and tax rules.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently with strong attention to detail, organization and follow-through.
• Capable of working under close supervision and accepting constructive feedback, making adjustments as directed.
• Strong teamwork skills, and ability to foster a productive environment with colleagues and clients.
• Strong computer skills, including solid proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word & Excel) and report writing tools.
