Job summary

MKS Inc. invites you to join Vacuum Product Group as a Reliability Engineering Intern/Co-op in Andover, MA. You will partner with reliability and design engineers to perform product reliability testing and report findings to the team.

This six‑month program begins January 2027 and reports to the director of reliability engineering. You will gain hands‑on experience in test methods, fixture design, and possibly software coding for test automation, while building a foundation in reliability

A Day In Your Life At MKS

As a Reliability Engineering Intern/Co-op at Vacuum Product Group, you will partner with reliability engineer and design engineering team to perform vacuum product reliability and product testing. In this role, you will report to the director of reliability engineering.

Intern / Co-op Program Overview

• 6-month co-op assignment within a functional area of MKS Inc. that provides students a comprehensive and engaging experience from before your program starts to after the program ends.

Intern/Co-op Term: This is a 6-month internship/co-op beginning in January 2027.

You Will Make An Impact By

• Perform vacuum product reliability and product testing.
• Communicate to the team of test results and findings and write the test reports.
• Potentially involved in test fixture design and build.
• Potentially involved in software coding for the test automation and data collection.
• Travel Requirements: Up to 1% of Travel is required.

Physical Demands And Working Conditions

Compensation And Benefits

Hourly Pay Range: $23.00 to $31.00 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.

Benefits: MKS offers a benefits package for interns/co-ops working at least 20 hours per week, including 11 paid holidays, sick time, and 15 paid vacation days accrued on a biweekly basis.

The application period for the intern/co-op position is estimated to be through the end of November 2026; however, this may be shortened or extended depending on business needs and the availability of qualified candidates.
