MKS Inc. is seeking a Reliability Engineering Intern/Co-op in the Vacuum Product Group in Massachusetts.
The 6-month program starts January 2027 and provides hands-on experience partnering with reliability and design teams to perform product testing and reliability assessments. You will report to the director of reliability engineering, contribute to test planning and results documentation, and may assist with test fixture design and small software tasks for test automation and data collection.

As a Reliability Engineering Intern/Co-op at Vacuum Product Group, you will partner with reliability engineer and design engineering team to perform vacuum product reliability and product testing In this role, you will report to the director of reliability engineering.
6-month co-op assignment within a functional area of MKS Inc. that provides students a comprehensive and engaging experience from before your program starts to after the program ends.

Intern/Co-op Term: This is a 6-month internship/co-op beginning in January 2027.
Perform vacuum product reliability and product testing.
Communicate to the team of test results and findings and write the test reports.
Potentially involved in test fixture design and build.
Potentially involved in software coding for the test automation and data collection.
Travel Requirements: Up to 1% of Travel is required.
Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degrees program for engineering, software and related field.
Demonstrated initiative, resiliency, flexibility, time-management, and organization skills.
Good communication and listen skills.
Be able to pay attention to details.
Good with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Qualified candidate must be US Person
Can lift/carry up to 50 lbs of load

Working with gas, such as N2, etc.
Hourly Pay Range: $23.00 to $31.00 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
Benefits: MKS offers a benefits package for interns/co-ops working at least 20 hours per week, including 11 paid holidays, sick time, and 15 paid vacation days accrued on a biweekly basis.
