Northrop Grumman is seeking Software Engineering Interns for Summer 2027 in the Defense Systems Sector, Beavercreek, OH. You will join the Command and Control & Weapons Integration Division as part of a team delivering pioneering software solutions for complex systems.

Applicants must be full-time students for Fall 2027, majoring in CS/CE/Cybersecurity/ME or related STEM, and able to commit to 40 hours per week for at least 10 weeks. U.S.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk analyses for total systems.
• Analyzes across life cycle stages: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
• Translates customer requirements into hardware and software specifications while considering technical, schedule and cost constraints.
• Conducts functional and timeline analyses, trade studies, and interface definition studies.

Northrop Grumman is seeking Software Engineering Interns for Summer 2027. This position will be located at our Defense Systems Sector in Beavercreek, OH. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Command and Control & Weapons Integration Division.

Basic Qualifications

• Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2027.
• Be majoring in or having majored in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Mechanical Engineering or other related STEM degree.
• Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.
• Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

Preferred Qualifications

• Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher
• Current active Secret Security Clearance or higher

Responsibilities

• Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
• Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
• Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
• Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Intern Pay Range for Beavercreek, OH

• Bachelor’s: $19.50- $35.50 per hour
• Master’s: $27.50- $43.50 per hour
