Job summary

Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco invites undergraduates and graduate students to join the 2027 SF Fed Summer Internship Program as an Operations Intern. The role focuses on operations projects across Audit, Banking Supervision, and other districts, with critical thinking, writing, and collaboration at its core.

Participants will gain real-world experience, mentorship, and professional development while working 40 hours weekly for 10.5 weeks in-office, with housing and transportation

Qualifications

• Enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2029.
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Residency required.
• Demonstrated leadership and public service interest.
• Able to commit to 40 hours per week for the full 10.5 weeks and work in-office 5 days a week.

Program Eligibility

• Full‑time undergraduate or graduate students currently enrolled in an accredited community college, four‑year college, or university with an expected graduation date between December 2027 – June 2029
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Residency
• Keen interest in public service, and the mission‑driven work of the SF Fed
• Demonstrated leadership ability
• Ability to work 40 hours per week for the full duration of the 10.5-week internship
• Ability to work 5 days per week in‑office

Salary Range

Salary range for internship roles (based on position/experience/location): $21.00 - $36.00/hourly
